Where is NewBorn Barbershop located?
We're at 127 North Ave, Plainfield, NJ 07060 — on North Avenue in downtown Plainfield, minutes from North Plainfield, Scotch Plains and Dunellen.
What are your opening hours?
The shop is open every day of the week, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, including weekends and most holidays.
Do you take walk-ins or do I need an appointment?
Both. Walk-ins are welcome any day we're open, and you can reserve a chair online in advance if you'd rather not wait. Booking ahead is the safest bet on Fridays and Saturdays.
How much does a haircut cost?
A regular cut is $40, a shape-up with beard is $35, kids 12 and under are $35, and a taper fade with beard and hot towel is $50. Full pricing is on the services page.
How long does an appointment take?
Most cuts run 20–30 minutes. A fade with beard work and a hot towel finish takes about 45–50 minutes.
Do you cut kids' hair?
Yes. Kids 12 and under are $35, and our barbers are patient with first cuts — bring your own distraction if you like.
Do you do beard trims and hot towel shaves?
Yes. Beard sculpting, line maintenance and hot towel finishes are available on their own or bundled with any cut.
Can I request a specific barber?
Absolutely. Call (908) 941-8643 and ask for them by name, or pick your barber when you book online.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash and major cards are accepted in the shop. Tips can be added at the chair.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes — there's street parking along North Avenue plus public lots a short walk away near the train station.
